Daily Photo(s): Architectural Details in Bergues

Before our first visit to Bruges, we stopped on the French side in a very Flemish town-- Bergues-- that seems to be an anagram for its more popular cousin.  We had a nice meal and an adorable cup of coffee there, and although it was way too cold and windy to walk around much, I snapped some shots of seemingly ordinary things that are really quite special, in terms of design.

 A Beautiful Lamp Post
A Stylish Lady Holds the Shutter Open
 Ornate Ventilation Grate

This is what I love about Europe-- all of these really special, beautiful details.  SO pleasing to the eyes, and they work just as well as the more utilitarian varieties.
