A Stroll Down Portobello Road

When you travel, do you ever end up in famous places on accident?  After our first meal in London, that's what happened to us, as we wandered from the restaurant in Notting Hill. The packed streets gave this landmark away immediately.
It was getting dark, and vendors were beginning to pack up.  But we still enjoyed just looking at everything we could.  So many interesting things to see!

I love vintage tools and functional objects.  These made we want to take up carpentry.

You'd better believe it was hard to pull a certain six year old girl away from this one!
I love antique cutlery and dinnerware. But everything on this table cost a fortune.  Still, it was fun to look.
I could have spent the day here, browsing through everything.  Next time, right?

Have you accidentally stumbled upon any famous or iconic sites in your travels?

  1. I think this was my favorite thing in London! The markets are usually my favorite, no matter what the city! I picked up some treasures in London though and each time I look at them I think about strolling down this street.

  2. Yes, I wished we had gotten there earlier, so we could have looked at it all. I miss the flea markets in Germany a lot-- here they are "antique fairs," and the feel is much more curated, and the prices are pretty outrageous. I liked the feel of this area! I'm curious about what you picked out!

Something I love about blogging is the way that I can meet people from all over the world, and we can have conversations about life and the subjects at hand. Please introduce yourself, I would love to hear what you have to say!
