I found myself imagining hosting a party in this little backyard, right along the water...
And looking out these windows...
The scene in the picture below reminded me of Amberg, and made my heart swell and ache at the same time...
And I admit to indignant thoughts about no table or chairs being in this yard for someone to sit and enjoy the scene:
Now, this is how it's done! I pictured myself having my morning coffee out there:
I love our home and our life in Bury St. Edmunds, but I couldn't help fantasizing a little...
The only potential problem? Oh, those speedboats I'd been eyeing, bringing boatloads of people by to gawk at my great fortune!
Which one would you be most likely to find yourself in?
P.S. I am also posting more "Back Streets" photos from this sunny afternoon over here.
Breathtaking. So romantic!
ReplyDeleteI know, seriously romantic. It's hard to imagine that it's "just home" for some people, isn't it?
DeleteAriana, I just wanted to say hi from Chicago. I'm not sure how I stumbled upon your blog today, but as I read through your posts, I'm so glad that I did. Your family is wonderful and so REAL, and I love reading about and viewing your travels. (Also - agreed about morning coffee in that garden; sigh.) Thanks for sharing!
